The working principle of magnetic lock
We know that each magnet has two poles, a north pole (N pole) and a south pole (S pole). Magnetic locks take advantage of this characteristic of magnets, and use permanent magnets (magnetic beads) to make unlocking tools, which are also called "electronic locks".
1. Magnetic padlock
1. There are two long strip plates inside the magnetic padlock, one is a movable plate and the other is a fixed plate. When the lock beam in the locked state of the padlock is pulled hard, the lock beam will squeeze the bump on the movable plate, so that the movable plate has a force to move towards the fixed plate. If the movable plate can move towards the fixed plate for a certain amount Distance, the lock can be opened. In the longitudinal direction of the plane of the two long strip plates, four holes are drilled in each plate respectively. One end of the four magnetic beads is respectively fixed with a piece of brass wire thinner than the magnetic beads, and the brass wires on the four magnetic beads are respectively inserted into the four holes on the fixing plate.
The four holes on the fixing plate are thinner than the magnetic beads and thicker than the brass wire, so the magnetic beads can shake in all directions on the fixing plate, but after being fixed in the lock, they cannot move longitudinally due to the limitation of the lock body. The end of the magnetic bead that is not fixed with the brass wire faces the key slot outside the lock, and the end of the magnetic bead that is fixed with the brass wire faces the movable plate. Due to the interaction of the magnetic force of the four magnetic beads in the lock, the brass wire at the tail of the magnetic bead is not in a straight line (or not concentric) with the four holes on the movable plate, when a pulling force acts on the locked lock beam At this time, the locking beam will squeeze the bump on the movable plate. Although the movable plate is subjected to the force of moving in the direction of the fixed plate at this time, because the brass wire is not aligned with the hole on the movable plate, that is to say, the yellow The copper wire will withstand the movable plate, which can restrict the movable plate from moving in the direction of the fixed plate, so the lock cannot be opened.
When a suitable key is attached to the key slot outside the lock, the magnetic beads in the lock will be attracted by the magnetic beads in the key outside the lock (must be opposite magnetic poles inside and outside), so that the four yellow Driven by the magnetic beads, the copper wires are aligned with the holes on the movable plate respectively. When a pulling force acts on the locked lock beam, the bumps on the movable plate are squeezed, which will overcome the force of the inner spring of the lock. , move in the direction of the fixed plate, because at this time the four brass wires can enter the holes on the movable plate, the movable plate can move a certain distance in the direction of the fixed plate, and the lock can be opened. In order for the brass wire to enter the hole on the movable plate smoothly, the end of the brass wire is pointed. When the lock beam is aligned with the lock hole, the lock beam will be pulled by the inner spring of the lock, and the lock beam will be pulled into the lock hole.
