The principle and application of electric dropbolt lock
Commonly used electric locks for access control include: electric dropbolt locks, magnetic locks, electric locks, electric control locks, etc.
Electric dropbolt lock: Also called "anode lock", it is actually just a kind of "anode lock", which is an electric lock that opens the door when the power is off. Because according to fire protection requirements, when a fire occurs, the building will automatically cut off the power supply, and the electric mortise lock should be opened to facilitate people's escape, so the performance of the electric dropbolt lock is to unlock (open the door) when the power is turned off.
Electric dropbolt locks are divided into two-wire electric dropbolt locks, four-wire electric dropbolt locks, 5-wire electric dropbolt locks, and 8-wire electric dropbolt locks from the wires.
Two-wire electric dropbolt lock: There are two wires, red and black, the red is connected to the power supply +12VDC and the black is connected to GND. Disconnect any of the wires and the lock will automatically retract and the door will remain open. Two-wire electric lock, the design is relatively simple, there is no single-chip microcomputer control circuit, the lock body is relatively easy to heat and burn hands, and the impact current is relatively large. One of the products.
Four-wire electric dropbolt lock: There are two wires, red and black, the red is connected to the power supply +12VDC and the black is connected to GND. There are also two white lines, which are door magnetic signal lines, reflecting the open and closed status of the door. It passes the door sensor, according to the current state of the door open or closed, and at the same time feeds back the signal to the access controller. , such as reporting to the police in case of illegal intrusion. Functions such as not closing for a long time rely on these signals to transmit information. If these functions are not set up in the system, the door magnetic signal line can not be connected. The four-wire electric mortise lock adopts a single-chip controller, which has benign heating, with delay control and door magnetic signal feedback function, and is also a widely used product in electric mortise lock products.
Electric mortise lock with delay control, that is, there is a dial switch on the lock body, which can set the delay time for closing the door. Usually can be set to 0 seconds, 3 seconds, 6 seconds, 9 seconds. Each brand of lock has slightly different levels of delay.
Please note that this delay is different from the door opening delay set by the access controller and access control software.
The access controller and access control software set the "door opening delay", or "door delay", which refers to the number of seconds after the electric mortise lock opens the door and automatically closes it.
The delay of the electric dropbolt lock belt is the delay of closing the door, which refers to how long after the door is in place, the lock head comes down and the door is locked. The general access control system requires that once the door is closed in place, the lock will come down and the door will be closed. Therefore, the electric lock delay is set to 0 seconds by default. For some doors, the floor spring is not good, and the door swings back and forth a few times at the closed position before the door settles down. If the door swings back, the protruding lock head will be knocked crookedly. In this case, you can set a door closing delay, so that the door will stabilize after shaking a few times, and the lock head will come down again to close the door.
5 wire electric dropbolt lock:
The principle of the four-wire electric dropbolt lock is the same, but there is an extra pair of opposite signals of the door sensor, which is used in some special occasions, but it is troublesome in formal occasions. The engineer needs to test which pair to use.
The red and black wires are the power supply. There are also three COMNONC lines, NO and NC respectively form two pairs of signals opposite to COM (a group of closed signals and a group of open signals). After the door is opened, the closed signal becomes an open signal, and one group of the open signal becomes a closed signal.
8 wire electric dropbolt lock:
The principle is the same as that of a 5-wire electric dropbolt lock. Only in addition to the door sensor status output, the lock status output is also added.
