The electric lock for access control is an important part of the access control system, and it is the executive mechanism and key equipment of the access control system. No matter how powerful and stable an access control system is, if there are problems with the quality and installation of the electric locks, it will also cause quality accidents or even safety problems.
Commonly used electric locks for access control include electric mortise locks (anode locks), magnetic locks, motor locks, electric locks (cathode locks), etc.
After using the magnetic lock for a period of time, there will be some problems due to various reasons. What should we do in the face of these failures? Common magnetic lock failures and solutions are shared with you.
1. The magnetic lock makes a loud sound when closing the door
a. Check whether there is a rubber gasket installed;
b. Check the iron plate end, whether the screw is too loose;
c. Check whether the distance between the magnetic lock body and the suction plate is appropriate.
2. The iron plate cannot be sucked firmly
a. Check whether the power supply "power and voltage" 1A/12V/24V output is reduced;
b. Check whether there are foreign objects on the surface of the magnet (such as dust, rust deposits, foreign objects, etc.).
3. The iron plate of the magnetic lock needs to be adjusted frequently
a. Check whether the iron plate is equipped with pins;
b. Check whether the iron plate has a rubber pad;
c. It is suggested that the customer put the "screw fixative" on the screw.
4. After the iron plate is sucked, it feels a slight vibration
a. Check whether the main surface of the magnetic lock is fully attached to the iron plate and whether there is no foreign matter, or try to loosen the iron plate;
b. Check whether the voltage and current are sufficient;
5. The delay function is invalid
a. The "delay adjustment" of the magnetic lock starts timing after the power is turned on, not after closing the door;
b. The delay of the magnetic lock is 0, 3, 6, and 9 seconds. Check the settings to see if the time is set to 9 seconds.
6. After power on, the LED light is slightly bright and cannot be sucked
Check whether the voltage is sufficient to supply the solenoid lock (should supply 1A current/12V voltage).
7. After power on, the red LED light is always on, but the green light is not on
It may be that the induction element of the magnetic lock is damaged and needs to be replaced.
8. The double-door magnetic lock cannot be absorbed after being used for a period of time
The magnetic lock of the double door consumes a lot of power, check whether the power supply is sufficient (whether it is sufficient for the required current and voltage of the double door electromagnetic lock, or whether there is a line loss).
9. There is no action with the controller
Check if the "output" contact of the access controller is correct.
The above are the nine common faults and solutions of access control magnetic locks. In actual use, specific problems need to be analyzed in detail.
