With the increasing security requirements for access control electric locks, various types of electric locks have sprung up. At present, the most common ones are electric bolt locks and magnetic locks. Because the two types of electric locks can provide good execution when combined with access control systems.
However, there are still differences between them. Electric bolt locks are often applied to various side-opening access control (two-way opening) glass doors. At the same time, their concealed features are more beautiful and suitable for places with high confidentiality requirements.
Today's electric bolt locks are divided into two types, the power-on type, and the power-off type. When the power is turned off, the bolt of the power-on type electric bolt lock is extended, and when the power is turned off, the bolt stretches. In crowded places and other large shopping malls and office buildings, in order to meet fire protection requirements, power-off type electric locks are generally used to prevent the automatic opening of the door in case of fire and other emergencies.
In the magnetic lock, also called the suction lock, the lock body generates magnetic force after electrification, and any ferrous object will not be attracted if it is close. A force, then the force will have a size, so the magnetic lock also has strong restrictions on the setting, there are 180kg, 280kg, 380kg, and so on. Under the limitation of force, as long as we artificially increase the force, the lock can be pulled apart beyond its own limit.
The design of the magnetic lock is the same as that of the electromagnet. It uses the principle of electromagnetism. When the current passes through the silicon steel sheet, the magnetic lock will generate a strong magnetic force and tightly adsorb the iron plate to achieve the effect of locking the door. To achieve this effect, only a small current can make it produce such a large suction force. When the verification is correct by swiping the card, the controller performs the power-off operation, and the magnetic lock loses the magnetic attraction force to open the door. Since the magnetic lock has no complicated mechanical mechanism, it is especially suitable for the access control system of the escape route.
The difference between a magnetic lock and an electric bolt lock is:
1. The electric bolt lock is not limited by force, and has no defect of passive opening; the magnetic lock is limited by the magnetic force, and the lock can be opened when the load exceeds the lock body itself, which is the disadvantage of the magnetic lock.
2. Electric bolt locks are also more flexible in use than magnetic locks. Electric bolt locks can be opened in both directions without restriction. The magnetic lock can only be opened in one direction, which is limited by the installation position.
With the wide application of access control systems in various buildings, electric locks, as an important part of access control systems, are becoming more and more popular in the market, which also promotes the development of more intelligent electric locks.
