3. Several installation situations of electric mortise locks for glass doors
1. Basic common sense
The difficulty of access control installation lies in the installation of electric locks. What kind of electric locks to install is mainly determined by the door
So, the basic question is, "what are you?"
Simple points, doors can be divided into glass doors, wooden doors/metal doors (anti-theft doors)
As long as conditions permit, glass doors are recommended to be installed with "electric mortise locks"
2. Installation steps
Step 1: Close the door first, determine the center line of the door and the door frame, and then align the sticker inside the electric lock box with the center point and stick it on.
Step 2: Drill holes on the door frame according to the holes shown on the sticker.
Step 3: Install the lock body on the door frame, install the baffle, and fix it with screws.
Step 4: Install the latch on the door.
Note: When installing, the lock body (including the bolt part) needs to be installed in the spine, and then the lock plate (including the lock hole part) should be installed on the upper part of the movable fan. During installation, attention should be paid to adjusting the corresponding positions of the deadbolt and the lock hole, as well as the corresponding positions of the floor spring and the floor lock. For framed glass doors, lock pieces can be used; but for frameless glass doors, the small door clip "lower bracket" must be used to act as the lock hole.
3. Several installation situations of electric mortise locks for glass doors
(1). Both upper and lower sides have edged glass doors
The most common installation method of electric mortise lock
Does not require any additional accessories
The so-called condition refers to the vertical thickness of the upper door frame greater than 4.5cm
Figure 1: The electric mortise lock is concealed, and the lock body must be buried in the door frame. The above picture is the most common installation method of the electric mortise lock. Both the upper and lower sides of the glass door are bounded.
(2). Glass door with upper frame and no lower frame
There is no binding on the bottom, so use the "bottom door clip" to fix the lock hole
(3). Glass doors without borders up and down
The electric mortise lock needs to be fixed by the "upper door clip", and the lock hole is fixed by the "lower door clip"
Notes:
The advantages of electric mortise locks: the concealed installation looks beautiful, and the door can be opened 180 degrees inside and outside.
Disadvantages: It is not as strong and durable as the magnetic lock, and it is more difficult to install and open holes for individual doors.
